Background



Established in July 1963 as Solari Engineering Pty Ltd, that was changed in February 2004 to Solari Packaging Systems Pty Ltd to reflect the company's long standing core business activities as a wholly-owned Australian company dedicated to the design, engineering and manufacture of end of line packaging machinery that is marketed under the Solari name.

In 1974 Solari signed an agreement with bedo-Verpackungsmaschinen (who became bedo-Verpackungstechnik in 1996) of Lubeck, Germany to manufacture the bedo range of machines under licence in Australia. bedo have long been recognised as the leading manufacturer of case erecting and case sealing machinery in Germany and are a world leader in gummed paper tape application. More recently, bedo has focussed its attention on side-loading case packing systems and have gained an enviable reputation as a manufacturer of some of the most technically innovative case packing systems available in Europe today.

The Solari product range includes a comprehensive range of high quality packaging machinery manufactured by Solari Packaging Systems in Sydney, Australia.

Our product range covers; fully automatic set size case sealers, fully automatic batch size case sealers, fully automatic random size case sealers, fully automatic case erectors, vertical case packers, side-loading case packers, end-loading case packers, wrap-around case packers, fully automatic tray erectors and tray packers.

 
Services

To complement our products, Solari also provide clients with a range of services  including consulting and planning during the early stages of a project through to commissioning and training at completion as well as after sales service and on-going technical support.

Solari case erectors, case packers and case sealers are renowned for their performance and reliability and the build quality and finish of a Solari is second to no other machine.

Solari packaging machines are fully compliant with industry standards, occupational health and safety (OH&S) regulations and carry the CE-Mark.

Factory Facility

Located about 20km south west of the Sydney central business district, the Solari production facility is situated close to the M5 motorway about 15 minutes drive from the international and domestic air terminals at Kingsford-Smith Airport.

The Solari production facility totals 1240 square metres with separate departments for: 

  • design and engineering
  • component manufacture and fabrication
  • machine assembly and testing

Solari Packaging Systems are a foundation member of the "Australian Packaging Machinery Association" (APMA) that includes all the leading manufacturers and suppliers of packaging machinery in Australia.
